Nick & Christina’s backyard garden summer wedding was such a sweet perfect evening. Friends and family gathered to celebrate these two “making it official” and everyone was so happy for them.
I met Christina earlier this year through a gardening facebook group and we’ve gotten to know each other more through the year and have even shared plants. So we’re basically BFF’s. 😉
Even though they had a short engagement, you could tell a lot of thought went into this evening. From the special details remembering Christina’s parents, to the way her daughters walked her down the aisle, intimate details were everywhere. Even their son and his friend were involved as ring bearer and flower girl. And they were so cute!
They started the evening with a potluck dinner. When Pigs Fly provided delicious smoked meat, potato salad and creamed corn. Guests brought dishes to provide the rest and at the end of it all there was so much good food. 🙂
After dinner we had the ceremony and even though thunder rumbled in the distance, everything went off without a hitch.
The evening ended with toasts from the best man and maid of honor, dancing on the back deck as the sun set and wonderful cake by Artistic Cakes. I’ve not yet met a cake I didn’t like, but this one was sure tasty. 🙂
At this wedding I also had the privilege of working with Free Spirit Films. They were the videographers for this wedding. If you’ve thought about hiring a wedding videographer, I’d highly recommend checking into them. They do amazing work and are great guys too. 🙂
This was my first backyard garden summer wedding, and I sure wouldn’t mind doing more!
