Lake Talbott Wedding
On a warm, windy summer evening Jake & Liv exchanged wedding vows at Lake Talbott on the Kansas State Fairgrounds. They pledged to love and honor each other through thick and thin….here is their story. 🙂
Liv had her mom and Grandma Beverly there to help her get into her dress and lace up the back. I know she was so glad to have these two important ladies there on this special day. 🙂Liv wanted to have a first look with her dad before the wedding and have me photograph that moment. So we had him come in and got some special photos of them seeing each other for the first time that day ready for the wedding.
Since the weather forecast called for a high of 97 degrees, we went to Jake & Liv’s wedding prepared with hair up and water bottles on hand. 🙂
Thankfully the good old reliable Kansas wind came through and cooled everyone off, helping us all have a great day! Their Lake Talbott wedding was full of so many family & friends there to show their support.
With the KC Chiefs flag waving above, Jake pledged his love & devotion to Liv and she vowed to not mind too much when he watched football & played video games lol :). I can tell these two love each other so much and make a beautiful and fun couple. 🙂
Liv read vows to Kenzie, Jake’s daughter which I think caused a few tears between the guests at the wedding and Kenzie. Their June wedding was sweet, quick and decorated pretty with red roses and yellow daises.
Have you had to plan a wedding during a global pandemic?? Just a short week before the wedding the governor lifted restrictions on gatherings, allowing them to have the wedding they originally wanted before the world shut down. They handled all the planning and rearranging with grace and determination to get their dream wedding. 🙂
They danced and had a great time with their friends at the reception at the Encampment Building. Celebrating the fact that they were finally married after months of adjusting plans and not knowing for sure when they would be able to have the wedding they wanted.
The cake was a fun smaller cake with a bunch of tasty cupcakes! Liv’s sweet aunt made these for the couple and gifted them to them for the wedding which I think is so sweet. 🙂
