Lake Talbott Wedding

On a warm, windy summer evening Jake & Liv exchanged wedding vows at Lake Talbott on the Kansas State Fairgrounds.  They pledged to love and honor each other through thick and thin….here is their story.  🙂

Liv had her mom and Grandma Beverly there to help her get into her dress and lace up the back.  I know she was so glad to have these two important ladies there on this special day.  🙂Lake Talbott wedding at Kansas State FairgroundsLake Talbott wedding at Kansas State FairgroundsLiv wanted to have a first look with her dad before the wedding and have me photograph that moment.  So we had him come in and got some special photos of them seeing each other for the first time that day ready for the wedding.

Being big KC Chiefs fans, they had fun touches throughout the wedding showing their support of the latest Superbowl champions.  All these little elements made for such a fun wedding!

Since the weather forecast called for a high of 97 degrees, we went to Jake & Liv’s wedding prepared with hair up and water bottles on hand.  🙂

With the KC Chiefs flag waving above, Jake pledged his love & devotion to Liv and she vowed to not mind too much when he watched football & played video games lol :).  I can tell these two love each other so much and make a beautiful and fun couple.  🙂

Liv read vows to Kenzie, Jake’s daughter which I think caused a few tears between the guests at the wedding and Kenzie.  Their June wedding was sweet, quick and decorated pretty with red roses and yellow daises.

Have you had to plan a wedding during a global pandemic??  Just a short week before the wedding the governor lifted restrictions on gatherings, allowing them to have the wedding they originally wanted before the world shut down.  They handled all the planning and rearranging with grace and determination to get their dream wedding.  🙂

The cake was a fun smaller cake with a bunch of tasty cupcakes!  Liv’s sweet aunt made these for the couple and gifted them to them for the wedding which I think is so sweet.  🙂

  3. As you grow together you will find, everything changes. As you settle into your life’s journeys, you learn to compromise and all the little things are just that. And when the big things seem hard, give it 24 hours, it never seems as hard after you have time to think about it. (Something Royce taught me) For the sake of love, you’ll walk through the fires.
Remember, family is always close by for you both!
