Kaley’s Haven High Senior session took us to several places around Haven, as well as out to Cheney lake! Kaley is an active senior who enjoys playing the flute in the band, Girl Scouts, and sailing her boat the Jolly Roger. 🙂
Kaley has been very active in Girl Scouts over the years! She started a recycling program in Haven which has allowed her to raise $7,748.89 over the past 8 1/2 years for the Haven Food Bank!
She worked for 2 years, once a month, to help with meal prep and serving at St. Anthony shelter.
Kaley has served as Life Guard at Scout Camp and Camp Counselor for Girl Scout Summer Camps for 7 years. She worked 3 years at Boy Scouts camp QSR.
Kaley worked for a full summer at a Community Garden in Wichita.
She helped with ICT food rescue for 2 years and took hunter safety for 2 years.
Kaley has helped with Haven Fall Fest 3 years.
The biggest of all accomplishments include her earning her Bronze Award, Silver and she is almost done with her Gold Award – the highest award a Girl Scout can earn. Her Gold Award Project is called Trails and Traditions at Camp 4 Winds outside of Leon, Ks. It’s a 3 mile trail system with 5 different colored trails filled with campsites, resting places, cement statues, fairies and other fun things.
Campers can make their own stories and adventures along the way. She added 35 waypoints (Girl Scout Geocaching) filled with traditional Swaps for Girls to exchange. She has refurbished and rebuilt 11 benches, 5 picnic tables, 3 bridges, 2 culverts, and a Rock Garden. Plus she has made over 4,000+ swaps to fill the waypoints, as well as 800+ Camp Rocks.

Good grief I got tired just listing all that out! 🙂 This girl has been busy and is making a great impact on our local community.
In her spare time (how does she have that??) :), Kaley likes to sail, which is a fun family activity they all enjoy. 🙂
So of course we needed to include her boat, the Jolly Roger and one of the family boats in our photo session. 🙂
Kaley will be attending Butler County Community College in the fall on a full ride scholarship, no less!
Thank you, Kaley, Angie and Mike for a fun Haven High senior session!
